Our take on Scorchlands
Rather than making city building a timed race, Scorchlands removes timers and pressure from expansion. Its structure combines colony planning with terraforming, inter-settlement logistics, exploration, and tactical encounters, placing environmental change and resource movement alongside settlement growth.
What is Scorchlands?
Scorchlands is a hex-based colony-building game set on Helia, a volcanic moon explored by the birdfolk of Giwi.
Establish settlements, place buildings, and create production chains across colonies. Move resources between settlements and balance supply and demand to keep industries running. Terraform the environment to open access to resources and opportunities. Exploration brings encounters with strange creatures, handled through tactical combat based on positioning, without micromanagement. Technology progression unlocks new tools for developing colonies. The game has no timers and lets players expand and manage their settlements at their own pace.
