Lumencraft combines a top-down shooter with base construction and tower defense in underground, procedurally generated environments.
Players dig tunnels, destroy terrain, gather Lumen, and defend settlements from enemy raids with direct combat, weapons, and turrets. The game includes a 27-mission campaign, procedural maps, custom scenarios, and a level editor. Custom games can use different modes, starting technologies, upgrades, and goals. The destructible environment supports excavation and blasting, while dynamic lighting illuminates the underground tunnels. Explosive weapons include dynamite. Cooperative play supports local shared-screen sessions and Steam Remote Play, and created maps can be shared through the Steam Workshop.
