Rather than centering on a lone hero moving through conventional ground-based stages, SAMS places the player in a spacecraft and frames its action around travel between six planets. Its cooperative option also brings shared-screen play into a spaceship shooter format.
What is SAMS?
SAMS is a classic shooter set across six exotic planets.
Che pilots the Hermes-2700 while searching for worlds that can support the SAMS civilization, after Che’s home planet became uninhabitable following an attack by the Pured empire. Gameplay centers on controlling the spacecraft and destroying enemies. The game supports solo play and local cooperative play on one computer. Cooperative sessions can use two keyboards or two gamepads, allowing two players to share the same machine. Its structure combines a science-fiction search with arcade-style spaceship combat across a fixed set of six planets.
