Our take on Starblast
The match-based structure centers on piloting, mining, upgrades, and combat rather than a campaign. The Steam purchase also limits access to the Steam edition; it does not provide the web-play code mentioned in the description.
What is Starblast?
Starblast is an online multiplayer arcade space shooter.
Pilot a spaceship, mine asteroids, collect crystals or gems, and upgrade through a ship tree with 7 tiers and 31 ships. Ships have different laser patterns and abilities, and secondary weapons and powers support offensive or defensive play. The game includes survival, team, and deathmatch modes: team play centers on three factions, base stations, mining, and attacks, while deathmatch rounds are won by reaching 12 points.
Procedurally generated star systems and asteroid fields vary the arenas. Custom games let players adjust settings such as map size, asteroid strength, ship speed, and team count, then share games as private parties or public events. The Steam purchase provides access to the Steam version only, not a web-play code.
