Combat uses turn-based strategy, with teams of up to five fighters and nine weapon types to choose from. Group composition affects available abilities and tactical options. The setting centers on an Empire shaped by a millennium of conflict with the fallen god Firebringer and his followers. The four protagonists pursue different journeys while responding to a world facing rebellion and an uncertain future.
