Our take on DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake
Combining two separate RPG adventures gives the package a broad journey across different stories, but players seeking one tightly focused campaign may find the split structure less cohesive. The second game adds party travel and waterways, while the first centers on one descendant's quest.
What is DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake?
DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake brings two adventures from the Erdrick trilogy together in one package, with either title selectable from the start screen.
In DRAGON QUEST I, a descendant of Erdrick travels across Alefgard to defeat the Dragonlord. DRAGON QUEST II follows four royal descendants as they explore towns, castles, caves, and dungeons, eventually using a ship to cross seas and rivers. Both games use turn-based battles with weapons, spells, and abilities.
The second story brings together the Princes of Midenhall and Cannock, the Princesses of Moonbrooke and Cannock, with the latter new to this version. Existing 2024 DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake save data can grant a dog suit and a cat suit as bonus in-game items.
