The main campaign lasts 108 turns, beginning with Operation Barbarossa and continuing through the Russian advance toward Berlin. Four shorter historical operations—Barbarossa, Case Blue, Citadel, and Bagration—each cover 16 turns and offer different starting points. Seasonal conditions affect tactics, with winter creating difficulties until summer reinforcements arrive. Fog of war conceals enemy activity, while supply routes can be cut or maintained. The map represents the area between Berlin and Stalingrad. Forces include historical corps and armies from several countries, with separate tanks, vehicles, and uniforms for the German and Soviet sides. Players can reinforce units in important locations and select a difficulty setting.
