The build system trades fixed, repeatable encounters for run-to-run variation. That choice creates changing tactical problems, but it also means a preferred setup cannot be reproduced under identical conditions every time.
What is Runeroots TD?
Runeroots TD is a roguelite tower defense game built around tower and rune combinations.
Each tower has two rune traits, and matching traits between towers grants bonuses across eight rune types. Runs randomize enemy routes, resources, perks, and enemy groups, requiring defensive changes during play. Perks affect tower types, items improve individual towers, and relics apply broad run modifiers. Adventure Mode spans three acts, with route choices after every five waves that can lead to rune powers, treasure, or tower crafting. Mastery Mode uses a large technology tree and focuses on defeating increasingly many waves. A town also levels up during play and unlocks features for later runs.
