Automatic combat removes moment-to-moment intervention, concentrating decisions before each battle. The trade-off is a heavier focus on drafting, ordering, traits, items, gems, and mastery cards instead of directing individual actions during a fight.
What is Godslayer Arena?
Godslayer Arena combines roguelike runs with autobattler and action-RPG systems.
Before each battle, players draft spells from a shop and choose between refreshing its selection or gaining experience. Experience raises the shop level and gives a better chance of finding higher-tier spells. Spells have traits that grant effects when enough unique spells share one, while holding three unique spells with the same trait upgrades those spells. Spell order matters because spells cast from left to right and can affect one another. Interactions include projectile, area-of-effect, spellpower, mana-cost, autocasting, combo-casting, and basic-attack effects. Mastery cards provide class-specific spells once per run. Items and gems add further modifications, while combat proceeds automatically.
