Our take on Rise of Kenshin
Rather than following a fixed action-adventure campaign, the game rebuilds each run through random map events, battle revelations, and changing martial-arts combinations. Its structure centers on repeated reincarnations and sudden reversals, with development decisions made during combat instead of between a sequence of fixed levels.
What is Rise of Kenshin?
Rise of Kenshin is a casual, national-style roguelike about young heroes defending land from a demon invasion.
Players choose among eight warriors, each with distinct skills, then develop them during battles through epiphanies and secret martial arts books. Attribute points can be assigned to life, attack, movement speed, blast, evasion, dodge, and immunity. Combat focuses on positioning, martial arts selection, stacked buffs, weapons, and breakthroughs that alter the battlefield. Eight dynamic maps contain randomly generated mysteries such as formation mechanisms, martial monuments, and relics. Encounters can present sieges, development choices, or war bottlenecks. Each reincarnation creates a new chapter, with combinations of martial arts shaping the run.
