Our take on Rewind
The defining mechanic is using time manipulation and copies of the protagonist to solve puzzles, with those duplicates also able to become enemies.
What is Rewind?
Rewind is a first-person puzzle game built around time manipulation and self-duplication.
Create copies of the protagonist, use available weapons, and deal with enemies that may include another version of yourself. The puzzles also connect to a mystery about why the character is in this situation. Progress centers on solving each challenge and finding a way to the exit. The game is the debut title from Stubborn Horse Studios, created by Rachel "Angel_Mapper" Cordone.
How Rewind plays
- 01Self-cloning puzzles
- Copies of the protagonist become part of the process for solving environmental challenges.
- 02Time manipulation
- Temporal control is combined with duplication to address puzzles and uncover the surrounding mystery.
- 03Self-directed combat
- Weapons can be used against enemies, including another version of the player character.
