What is NOSTOI?
NOSTOI is a single-player 3D puzzle platformer set in a limbo caused by a boy’s psychological problems.
Each level presents a puzzle that must be solved to open the route onward. Challenges include rebuilding destroyed stairs, moving unnoticed, and returning blocks to their original positions. Time Obelisks can rewind some objects and restore them to their default state, but reaching or activating them requires careful observation of each land’s unusual physics. When the obelisks are activated and the puzzle is complete, a gate to another land becomes available. Tiny monsters called Regrepsa appear in every land, providing story details and mysterious clues. The narrative references psychological phenomena such as false memory, with a cel-shaded, chibi visual style.
