Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a relaxed or low-pressure pace may find the souls-like combat emphasis demanding.
- Players looking for a broad open-world structure may find the stated journey focused on closing rifts in the Dream.
- Players who prefer games without combat may not want its enemy-fighting focus.
Our take on Requiem
Its combat toolkit includes beast transformation and raised allies, but that focus leaves little room in the stated premise for activities outside fighting through the Dream and closing its rifts.
What is Requiem?
Requiem is a third-person adventure with a storybook presentation and souls-like combat.
Players choose one of five adventurers and enter the Dream, a perilous spirit-world. The goal is to close its rifts and save the Waking World from spirit-wraiths. Combat includes slashing enemies, changing into beast form, and raising the dead to fight alongside the player. The game combines action, adventure, and RPG elements around this journey between worlds.
