RPGIs Chronicles of Honor worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Roguelike shooter players who want collected gear to reset while some unlocked items carry over
- Explorers who prefer open-world discovery without quest or waypoint markers
- RPG players who want to choose between mobility, survival, and damage upgrades
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a formal mission structure, quest markers, or guided routes may hit a wall when exploring Kala.
- Players who dislike losing collected gear on death may bounce off the reset, even though unlocked items persist.
- Players looking for a settled, polished presentation may be put off by the stated work on animations, audio, AI, and bugs.
Our take on Chronicles of Honor
The clearest sticking point is navigation: after NPC guidance, exploration has no mission structure or waypoint markers. Players who rely on explicit objectives may hit that wall as soon as they set out across Kala.
What is Chronicles of Honor?
Set on the artificial world of Starlight Kala, this third-person roguelike shooter RPG follows JUNA, a prototype stranded after her ship crashes.
Explore an open world, fight enemies, search dungeons called Vaults, and collect weapons and other items. Core-scrolls grant upgrade points in mobility, survivability, or killing power, while equipment can be customized to suit different playstyles. Reactivating Local Relays reveals map sections, enables fast travel, and grants nodes for unlocking items in a chosen order. On death, JUNA returns to the start and loses her collected gear, but previously unlocked items remain available in later runs. NPCs provide guidance, but exploration has no formal mission structure or waypoint markers.
How Chronicles of Honor plays

- Items unlocked through relay nodes remain available after a run ends in death.
- 02Relay fast travel
- Reactivating a Local Relay reveals part of the map and makes that point available for teleportation.
- 03Three upgrade paths
- Core-scrolls grant points toward mobility, survivability, or killing power.
