We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- RTS players interested in building a following by converting citizens
- Cyberpunk strategy fans drawn to cult management and city control
- Players looking for a story campaign with moral choices and AI skirmishes
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players expecting familiar RTS economic and resource management may hit a wall with the game’s conversion-based progression.
- Players who want combat to be the sole focus may bounce off the systems for recruiting citizens, praying, hacking buildings, and choosing dogmas.
- Players seeking cooperative multiplayer may not find a fit in the described campaign and AI-cult skirmish modes.
Our take on Re-Legion
The bounce point is the shift from familiar RTS resource management to a system built around converting residents, gathering CryptoCredits, praying for faith, and hacking city buildings. Players who do not want those systems to shape progression may hit a wall early.
What is Re-Legion?
Re-Legion is a cyberpunk strategy title played in real time, focused on directing a cult’s struggle for a city.
New followers come from unaffiliated residents and opposing forces. Devotees earn CryptoCredits to unlock improvements, perform rituals that raise faith and provide powers, infiltrate structures and billboards, then battle hostile troops and dissenters. Dogmas define the movement’s principles, while the campaign presents ethical decisions throughout Elion’s transformation from isolated prophet. The main story follows his attempt to expand the cult’s influence.
Holy Wars provides standalone encounters with computer-controlled rival cults. Before each match, players select a battlefield and creed, then adjust the challenge level and the tactics followed by the AI. Victory requires seizing the urban area and eliminating the opposing Sanctuary.
