Our take on Puzzle Cube
Players will likely bounce off when a level requires planning several edge movements in advance. The frozen and explosive blocks introduce another point of friction, since a careless move can obstruct the board or remove nearby pieces.
What is Puzzle Cube?
Puzzle Cube is a 3D matching puzzle built around movable colored boxes.
Each stage places boxes within a play area, and movement toward any of its six edges can align three or more boxes. Aligned boxes vanish, opening space for further moves. Clearing a level requires planning the order of movements and removing every box. The game includes 120 handcrafted stages with increasing difficulty, plus frozen blocks that obstruct progress and exploding blocks that remove nearby blocks when struck.
How Puzzle Cube plays
- 01Six-edge movement
- Boxes can be pushed toward any of the six sides of the play area.
- 02Progressive level set
- The 120 stages are individually made and arranged with increasing difficulty.
- 03Frozen obstacles
- Some stages contain frozen blocks that initially obstruct movement.
- 04Explosive blocks
- Hitting one of these blocks removes surrounding blocks.
