Our take on Punk Wars
Players who enjoy battles without wider management may bounce off when progress requires resource extraction, infrastructure planning, supply chains, territory growth, and population oversight before combat can decide the campaign.
What is Punk Wars?
Punk Wars is a combat-focused, turn-based 4X strategy game set in the ruins of a post-apocalyptic megacity.
Four corporations—Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Steelpunk, and Atompunk—compete to spread their technology and philosophy. Players explore a dangerous wasteland, encounter hostile nomads, find and extract scarce resources, and expand their territory. Scientific, industrial, and military infrastructure supports development, while advanced supply chains require units to rely on one another. Population well-being and random events add management concerns. Each faction has distinctive skills and units, which can be levelled before challenging turn-based battles. Downloadable content adds a story campaign about uniting humanity under one faction’s banner.
