Our take on Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage
Rather than keeping deckbuilding confined to battles, the game extends decision-making across open-sea navigation, changing routes, card removal, crafting, and talent investment. Its combat also replaces a simple end-turn rhythm with a Countdown tied to the hand and triggers linked to redraws and card play.
What is Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage?
Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage combines roguelike runs with deckbuilding.
Players collect 250 cards, fuse cards, find more than 80 relics, and choose among heroes with unlockable classes, attributes, and starting decks. Companions can add ability cards to an initial deck. Navigate mode allows travel between islands, route changes, hidden-island exploration, and battles against nine Sea Masters and legendary creatures. Combat uses a Countdown tied to hand cards, while enemy actions can trigger when cards are redrawn or played. Three-card upgrades offer two evolution paths. The game also includes an Arena with staged battles and a Champion, a Workshop for Golden Cards, a Black Market for removing cards with gemstones, a Heritage talent tree, outfits, equipment, and Repute progression.
