Our take on People
The defining detail is direct control over both the island and its inhabitants: the player can place settlements, assign villagers to roles, manipulate objects, and use worship-generated magic while exploring and altering the environment.
What is People?
People casts the player as an omnipotent being controlling a 20 km island and its native population.
Villages and towns can be built in open locations, with villagers assigned roles for gathering food and supplies, construction, guarding, and other tasks. Population management includes aging, hunger, breeding, and protection from creatures, monsters, and other threats. Exploration covers quests, missions, games, puzzles, and island mysteries. Buildings can be crafted from blueprints and destroyed, while the environment supports direct interaction with trees, rocks, people, creatures, and monsters. Worship generates magic, which expands influence. Development has ended, and the game was not fully completed.
