Our take on ORX
The deckbuilding and faction differences add strategic variety, but they also make each run depend on card choices and matchup planning rather than a single stable defensive pattern.
What is ORX?
ORX combines tower defense, deckbuilding, and roguelike campaign structure.
Players build a card deck around magic, fortifications, troops, or economy, then improve cards and use spells and artefacts during battles. Three factions offer different approaches: Rune Guardians emphasize castle walls, Dune Reavers manage units in an RTS-style mode, and Boreal Nomads follow a strategy-simulation model. Campaigns move across Medea’s varied regions, with routes that can progress node by node or head directly toward a boss. Missions, events, and campaigns change between runs. Enemies use contrasting archetypes, encouraging players to match defensive choices against their weaknesses. Defeating leaders grants campaign-long bonuses for later challenges.
