Our take on Original War
The store presentation spends most of its space establishing the expedition, the EON, and its time-travel experiments. It gives the story substantial context but offers little information about how the strategy gameplay is structured.
What is Original War?
The story follows a United Nations-backed American geological expedition sent to a remote region of eastern Siberia to assess its natural resources.
Instead of oil, the team discovers an unfamiliar mineral linked to the fuel of an extraterrestrial artifact called the EON. The device came into American possession after Colonel Emerson found it near the site of the 1919 Tunguska explosion. Experiments conducted by the Department of Defense show that objects placed inside the capsule can be sent hundreds of thousands of years into the past.
Scientists cannot determine how the machine was built or reproduce its fuel, so the classified artifact remains stored while research continues. The narrative combines a Siberian resource expedition, military secrecy, extraterrestrial technology, and time travel.
