Our take on Orbitmine
The incremental structure keeps the focus on repeated sorties and upgrades, but that narrow loop leaves less room for changing mission types or broader strategic systems.
What is Orbitmine?
Orbitmine is an incremental space-mining game centered on reaching planetary cores.
The ship circles a planet while its laser destroys blocks arranged in layers. Four seasonal zones—Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter—introduce different hazards, including block regeneration, overheating, wind gusts, and freezing cold. Each area has its own core, while the final core combines all four seasonal threats. Mining runs provide progress toward a branching ship-upgrade system, with improvements to laser power and barrier capacity alongside abilities such as Mega Laser, Shockwave, Drones, and Overdrive. The game follows a repeated loop of launching a sortie, drilling deeper, upgrading the ship, and attempting another run.
