Our take on RECOG The First Wave
The game combines industrial planning with direct military defense, so attention is split between production, power distribution, terrain, and combat. That breadth leaves less room for players who want a focused factory builder or a narrowly tactical battle system.
What is RECOG The First Wave?
RECOG The First Wave combines industrial construction, resource extraction, power management, and real-time defense.
Players explore hazardous terrain, mine 14 types of rocks and minerals, and use more than 500 recipes to assemble complexes above ground, along cliffs, or near lava. Connected generators, linkers, and splitters distribute power through the industrial network. A utility drone supports construction, while six war drones use lasers, more than 40 missile types, combat modules, and special skills. Enemy wreckage can be processed into possible items, and lava can form defensive barriers or cause destruction. The game also includes more than 270 technological advancements, five large-scale weapons, statistical analysis tools, and 60 achievements. The enemy changes its behavior in response to play.
