We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who want to build automated production networks
- Simulation fans interested in customizing drones and facility behavior
- Players seeking sci-fi exploration with solo or multiplayer base management
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a primarily combat-focused strategy game may find the base-building and automation systems take precedence.
- Those who prefer short, simple sessions may find resource chains, power management, research, and scripting demanding to coordinate.
- Players who do not want to configure units or manage logistics may not suit its central gameplay loop.
Our take on Desynced
The game trades conventional conveyor-belt layouts for drone logistics and programmable behavior. That choice offers flexible automation, but it also makes production management depend on configuring units, networks, and scripts rather than relying on fixed transport lines.
What is Desynced?
Desynced is a sci-fi strategy game about repairing a damaged ship while establishing a base on an unknown planet.
Players deploy drones to construct facilities, gather materials, manage power, and create production chains. A logistics network directs drones to transport resources without conveyor belts. Units can be equipped for specific tasks or configured with parameters and drag-and-drop scripting for customized behavior. Research expands the available technologies, units, and structures. The game combines base automation, resource management, exploration, and survival with a story involving the onboard AI ELAIN and a mysterious planet. It supports solo play, multiplayer, modding, and Steam Workshop integration.
