Our take on Open Wheel Manager
The emphasis is on team decisions, not direct race control: races can be skipped, and KERS or DRS do not require micro-management. That makes the race visualization optional rather than the core activity for players focused on management.
What is Open Wheel Manager?
Open Wheel Manager is a management simulation focused on open-wheel racing.
The manager develops a car, hires personnel, and chooses race strategies, while races use indirect control rather than requiring moment-to-moment management of KERS or DRS. The game includes 12 championship teams, 40 drivers, 9 engine suppliers, and 4 engineering facilities. Players design, produce, and install car parts, and negotiate with drivers, staff, sponsors, and suppliers. Driver statistics change with age, and drivers can move between teams as their reputations shift between seasons. Races have a 2D visualization that can be skipped. Multiple save files allow parallel careers. Modding options include editing names and performance data, changing visual assets, and selecting subscribed workshop mods when starting a game.
