The two-character combat system requires managing Kuuta’s attacks alongside Kazemaru’s spirit extraction, trading a single-character action loop for coordinated control of two roles.
What is ONI : Road to be the Mightiest Oni?
ONI: Road to be the Mightiest Oni follows Kuuta, a demon warrior who travels to Kisejima Island to challenge trials linked to demons defeated by Momotaro.
Kuuta attacks enemies with a club while his partner Kazemaru removes their spirits, which Kuuta must destroy to win. The island is divided into three areas with combat challenges, escort missions, monster chases, and mushroom-gathering activities. Completing trials in sequence unlocks new stages and increases Kuuta’s strength. Mushrooms collected in clusters can be exchanged for improved clubs.
