Play it if you…

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking uninterrupted offensive combat may find the need to protect Chibito limits full-strength attacks

- Players seeking a firearm-focused action game may prefer a different type of combat
Our take on IZON.
The protection mechanic gives combat a defensive cost: Kyojin's strongest attacks can leave Chibito unguarded. That trade-off makes her vulnerability central to play, but it limits uninterrupted offensive action.
What is IZON.?
IZON.
centers on Chibito, bearer of a creative force, and Kyojin, a destructive weapon, as they cross Hakoniwa. The player directs Kyojin and must guard Chibito, who has no combat ability. Kyojin can absorb enemy blows and overpower foes, yet using maximum strength may leave his companion exposed. Encounters require deciding when to strike and when to shield her.
The pair may travel with Kyojin carrying Chibito or split up to act independently. Chibito provides advice and channels a still-unfinished ability that brings forth what does not yet exist. Their route leads through a decayed but striking realm filled with grotesque creatures and people hunting Chibito. The story centers on the tension between making and destroying, as well as the changing reliance between its two protagonists.

IZON. compared to similar games
