Noelle moves to Milum Town after taking on a debt of 1,000,000 gold that must be repaid within 10 days.
Players explore the town and nearby areas, accept odd jobs, and earn money toward the debt. Completing work grants Job Points, which open access to more requests. Jobs include working at a tavern, helping a scientist, and dealing with ruffians.
Exploration can lead to dangerous locations such as Coco Forest, where Noelle fights with a sword and is defeated after three hits. Fatigue rises during work and forces Noelle to stop for the day when it reaches 100. Items sold by Rimuru can reduce the risks of expeditions, while completing jobs and interacting with Rin and Rimuru each day increases their affection.
