Our take on Nephilim
The single-player format gives up live human deception and discussion in exchange for NPC-driven deduction. Its focus on gatherings, voting, and role abilities also limits the experience to a narrow social-inference structure rather than a broader adventure.
What is Nephilim?
Nephilim presents a single-player social deduction game set in a religious order devoted to La Place, a machine worshiped for predicting the future.
The player joins a gathering and works to identify a heretic among the participants. Twelve NPCs can take part, each with a different thinking pattern. Discussions, voting, nighttime choices, and role abilities shape each game. Eight titles cover the order, the heretics, and a third faction. Roles can inspect suspects, protect survivors, attack members of the gathering, identify titles, or pursue an individual victory. Settings allow changes to the number of players, NPC participation, and whether titles are displayed.
