Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking action-focused gameplay may bounce off the conversation, inspection, and deduction structure.
- Players who do not enjoy collecting all available information before reasoning through a case may hit a wall at the deduction stage.
- Players looking for a broad, multi-location adventure may find the investigation's room-and-relationships focus narrow.
Our take on Staffer Reborn
The bounce point arrives after the evidence-gathering phase, when progress depends on interpreting the records and drawing logical conclusions. Players who prefer explicit objectives or action-driven advancement may stop once conversations and object inspections give way to deduction.
What is Staffer Reborn?
Set in 1960s America, Staffer Reborn follows an investigator examining a lieutenant whose supernatural resurrection ability prevents him from dying naturally.
The lieutenant repeatedly dies from old age and returns to life every fifteen minutes. Players question people connected to him and inspect objects in the room to collect case information. Findings are stored in records that can reveal further details. Once the available evidence has been gathered, players must reason through the circumstances and use those records to discover additional truths. The investigation focuses on understanding the lieutenant’s ability and finding a way to grant him eternal rest.
