SimulationIs Village worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy short first-person horror investigations with supernatural mysteries
- Detective-game fans who want to assemble a story from environmental clues
- Solo explorers interested in abandoned villages, houses, and factories
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat, character progression, or a broader action system may hit a wall because the described play centers on exploration and investigation.
- Players wanting extensive replayability may bounce off the single-story structure, which focuses on piecing together one mystery.
- Players who prefer bright environments may struggle once exploration depends on a flashlight and collected batteries.
Our take on Village
The bounce point arrives when exploration enters dark buildings and the flashlight becomes central. Players who want combat or a broad progression system may also stop at the investigation-focused structure, where keys, objects, and clues drive the experience.
What is Village?
Play as the grandson of a missing villager while searching a distant Russian settlement for answers.
This first-person horror investigation unfolds at the end of a railway line, among deserted homes and an industrial plant. Travel through shadowy areas, unlock rooms with discovered keys, gather flashlight batteries, and inspect objects for evidence. Newspaper fragments and other clues gradually reveal how the incidents fit together. Use WASD to move, the mouse buttons to collect or examine items, F to activate the flashlight, and Tab to view the inventory. The game combines rural Russian surroundings with paranormal details and a detective-style mystery.
How Village plays

- Keys found during exploration open otherwise inaccessible rooms in abandoned locations.
- 03Flashlight management
- Batteries must be collected to keep the flashlight available in dark areas.
- 04Object inspection
- The right mouse button examines items encountered during the investigation.
