Our take on NARIBIKIMURA
The short 2–3-hour runtime keeps the investigation focused, but leaves little room for extended exploration or repeated play. The separate non-horror mode broadens the setting’s use, while removing the tension that defines the main experience.
What is NARIBIKIMURA?
Naribikimura is a first-person, single-player exploration horror game set in an unmapped village discovered beyond a tunnel formed after a typhoon.
The protagonist investigates why the settlement exists while exploring its abandoned buildings and uncovering clues about what happened there. The game draws on abandoned Japanese villages and structures for its setting. A separate Ruins Exploration Mode removes horror elements and allows free changes to the time of day. This mode also includes an in-game camera for photographing the village. The main game lasts 2–3 hours. The game supports video and livestream sharing under stated posting guidelines, but it is not compatible with Steam Deck.
