Our take on MASAGORO
The atmospheric setting and 3D audio receive prominent attention, while the overall experience is brief. A two- to three-hour runtime makes this a compact horror exploration game rather than an extended investigation.
What is MASAGORO?
MASAGORO is a single-player, first-person horror exploration game set in an abandoned ryokan, or Japanese-style hotel, closed during the early Showa period.
The player investigates the building and uncovers its history by finding clues among the remnants. The story follows a former worker from Meshii-village who remembers the inn and decides to explore it. The setting draws on early Showa-era Japanese ruined hotels and includes 3D audio produced with Steam Audio. Exploration is combined with encounters against evil spirits inside Masagoro. The vendor gives the game an estimated completion time of two to three hours.
