Our take on The Under Presents
Rather than centering a conventional adventure on combat or a fixed sequence of locations, the game uses a theatrical venue with shared performances, live and recorded characters, and a separate time-bending solo campaign.
What is The Under Presents?
Enter the Under, a theatrical adventure combining multiplayer encounters with pre-recorded performances and live characters.
Players can explore the Main Stage, collaborate with others, perform magic, and uncover stories among the venue’s unusual cast. A single-player campaign called Timeboat! takes place aboard The Aickman, a research vessel trapped in Arctic ice. Its time-manipulation mechanics let players change characters’ fates and work with versions of themselves from the past while investigating the crew’s memories. The game also includes stage shows, colorful characters, animatronics, and a dolphin named Gerald. Its structure moves between shared theatrical experiences and a solo story about a missing crew and a doomed ship.
