Our take on Mysteries Of Darkness
The page emphasizes deck building, exploration, and the hell-portal objective, while the current alpha offers only two heroes. It also frames the witch as a choice for experienced players, giving the two characters different entry points.
What is Mysteries Of Darkness?
This single-player roguelike card game uses turn-based combat against creatures during a journey toward a portal to hell.
Winning battles improves cards and supports deck building for the final fight against the demon that opened the portal. Ruins along the route may contain treasure chests, hidden runes, or traps. Runes can be forged onto cards to customize the deck. Experience points can be exchanged for selected cards as the adventure continues. The current alpha includes two heroes. Valkirian is a warrior who uses protection cards, deals strong blows, and can inflict bleeding damage through enemy armor. Elwin is a witch who uses spells from four elements to disable and weaken opponents, with less defense than the warrior.
