Saves you a refund- Players who want forgiving pacing may hit a wall when enemies can overwhelm the screen quickly.

- Players who want an action game without puzzle-based shot planning may find the core combat a poor match.
Our take on Murasaki
Players who expect to clear enemies by firing rapidly may hit a wall at the one-bullet-at-a-time rule. Progress depends on arranging shots and timing explosions, and the pressure rises as enemies fill the screen. The full story unlock also requires expertise with both heroes.
What is Murasaki?
Murasaki combines shooting and puzzle mechanics: fire at shapes that explode, then try to bounce matching shapes together to trigger chain reactions.
Enemies arrive as levels progress, so positioning and timing matter; only one bullet can be fired at a time. Kairi moves slowly and shoots across the screen, while Satsuki moves quickly but has short-range shots. Each hero also has a special attack with limited uses, and the game includes boss fights. Chapters unlock story details, character biographies, and music after both successful and unsuccessful attempts. The configuration tool lets players adjust screen size, the BGM and sound-effect balance, and key bindings.
How Murasaki plays
- 01Shape chain reactions
- Matching shapes can bounce together and trigger explosions that affect other targets.
- 02Distinct hero styles

- 03Limited special attacks
- Each character has a special move with restricted uses, including attacks with different patterns and effects.
- 04Chapter unlocks
- Both completed and failed chapters can reveal story material, biographies, and music.
- 05Configurable controls
- A separate configuration tool includes screen size, audio balance, and key-binding options.
