Our take on wonShot
Rather than using repeated shooting as its core loop, this action game restricts each level to a single laser blast. The genre convention of ongoing combat is replaced by positioning, prediction, and chain-reaction planning.
What is wonShot?
Play as a Galactic Federation employee tasked with destroying rebel ships using a giant laser.
Each level allows one shot, so positioning the beam is central to the game. Bombs, ship types, environmental hazards, power-ups, and bonus objects can combine into chain reactions that damage multiple targets. Levels require a minimum score, with failure carrying an in-game termination consequence. The campaign contains 99 playable levels, three game modes, pixel-art portraits for non-player characters, and global leaderboards. The game also includes explosive visual effects and a story set across a galaxy where the federation presents destructive work as ordinary employment.
How wonShot plays
- 01Single-Shot Levels
- Each stage limits the laser to one firing opportunity, making the firing position central to progression.
- 02Chain-Reaction Combat
- Bombs, enemy vessels, and hazards can interact to create larger attacks across a level.
- 03Score Requirements
- Progression requires reaching a minimum score in every level.
- 04Multiple Game Modes
- The game includes three playable modes alongside its 99 levels.
- 05Global Leaderboards
- Scores can be compared through worldwide ranking tables.
