Our take on Rocket Blasters
The listing emphasizes several temporary upgrades, but their effects are time-limited and the central loop remains target destruction and score management. The scoring system also penalizes every shot, so firing continuously conflicts with pursuing a high score.
What is Rocket Blasters?
Rocket Blasters is a space shoot-'em-up where a rocket travels through space, destroying asteroids, enemy ships and occasional bosses.
Each shot costs one point, while hitting a target returns two or more points depending on what was hit. Enemies include drones, triangular battleships and rare, heavily armored dreadnoughts with a beam that can destroy the rocket, asteroids and their own drones. Floating pickups grant temporary upgrades such as triple blasters, side cannons, an energy shield and a destructo beam. Upgrade timers appear above the rocket. The game also includes Steam global leaderboards. Its hand-drawn artwork originated from a series of space-themed ball-point pen drawings.
