Our take on Heidelberg 1693
The defining detail is the single-shot musket: every blast begins a manual reload, turning a historical weapon constraint into the central rhythm of combat.
What is Heidelberg 1693?
Heidelberg 1693 is a 2D action adventure set in a dark version of late-17th-century Germany.
The musketeer battles monsters and undead across around 20 stages with alternate routes, using a single-shot musket and rapier. Every musket blast requires reloading, while ammunition and other supplies must be scavenged during the journey. Enemies can damage one another, and studying their behavior reveals ways to exploit their weaknesses. Undead enemies may rise again unless the final blow comes from the musket, and corpses can be shot before revival. The campaign includes hand-crafted foes, boss encounters based on historical figures, historical locations and characters, and silent-film-inspired animated story scenes.
