Our take on Mugen Souls
The store page foregrounds exploration, combat, and customization, while the DLC list shows a substantial focus on added equipment, points, recipes, and usable items. That makes progression support and extra content a notable part of the package, not just optional decoration.
What is Mugen Souls?
Mugen Souls combines free-roaming exploration with turn-based battles on open maps.
Characters can travel across multiple worlds, search for treasures and items, and confront roaming monsters. Battles include combo attacks with allies and battlefield crystals that activate Hyper mode. The Moe Kill technique exploits enemy weaknesses, turning defeated foes into items and subordinate peons. Character creation covers body parts, facial expressions, and job classes, while equipment and growth systems provide further customization. The game includes Japanese and English audio, mouse and keyboard controls, gamepad support, and Steam achievements. Free DLC adds extra battles, equipment, costumes, recipes, voices, currency, upgrade points, and usable items.
