Mary Skelter 2 is a first-person dungeon-crawling RPG set inside the Jail, a living prison filled with Marchens and pursuing Nightmares.
Players guide fairy-tale-inspired Blood Maidens through the prison while searching for a way to escape. Each character has a customizable class, and battles use turn-based combat alongside a blood-based transformation system that requires managing power and madness. Nightmares cannot be defeated and chase the group in real time, adding pursuit sequences to exploration. The story follows Otsuu, Little Mermaid, Alice, Jack, and other survivors seeking sanctuary. The game also includes a remake of Mary Skelter: Nightmares, with its changes carried into Mary Skelter 2, and can be played without the previous game.
