Our take on Morphite
The broad mix of exploration, scanning, trading, platforming, and combat gives up a narrowly focused shooter structure. Progress depends on moving between discovery and upgrades rather than staying in continuous firefights.
What is Morphite?
Morphite is a casual atmospheric first-person shooter set in a stylized low-poly universe.
Players follow Myrah Kale through an interstellar story while visiting procedurally generated planets with varied landscapes, plants, and animals. A scanner records biological information that can be sold for upgrades to the ship, suit, and weapons. Exploration includes platforming, resource gathering, creature research, hostile encounters, and boss battles. Space travel adds real-time combat, trading with other travelers, and random encounters. Fifteen handcrafted planets connect directly to the plot, whose English voice acting supports the single-player campaign. Shops across the galaxy provide additional equipment improvements.
