Our take on Memento Mori
The store presentation gives notable space to the enhanced engine, 3D visuals, and soundtrack, while the core experience is a traditional investigation built around questioning, searching, code-breaking, and decisions. The soundtrack is included as files in the installation directory rather than described as an in-game feature.
What is Memento Mori?
Investigate missing paintings through a point-and-click mystery set across locations including the Hermitage, an old library, Interpol’s Lyon headquarters, Scotland, and a Finnish cloister.
Players control Max, a French art-history professor, and Lara, a Russian militia captain assigned to art-theft work at Interpol. Their investigation involves questioning suspects, finding information, decoding clues, and identifying forged artworks. The story follows strange deaths, secret signs, and unsettling changes involving Max’s brother André. Decisions made throughout the narrative affect the ending. This enhanced Steam edition uses an enhanced game engine, real-time 3D environments, atmospheric effects, and includes the original soundtrack as separate files in the game’s installation folder.
