Our take on Mashina
Mashina shifts the adventure focus from a single journey to a cycle of excavation, storage, construction, and repair. Its two-part structure places mineral gathering underground alongside missions, decoration, and secrets in the overground, with stop-motion visuals replacing conventional game art.
What is Mashina?
Mashina is a digging adventure about a mining robot repairing her robot community.
Its gameplay has two distinct sections: a mysterious underground area and a fully explorable 3D overground. Underground, a radar reveals objects of interest, while digging uncovers minerals, trinkets, treasures, robot companions, and other discoveries. Minerals can be stored in Mashina’s backpack, taken to an underground base, and used to build machines for excavations. Above ground, Mashina meets locals, receives missions, upgrades equipment, decorates surroundings, and searches for collectibles and secrets. The visual style uses handmade materials and traditional stop-motion animation converted into textures and sprites. Retro-synth music and sound effects accompany fully voiced robot characters.
