Play it if you…
Good fit- RPG players who want a science-fiction story set on the Moon
- Players who enjoy battles that combine turn choices with timing inputs
- Explorers who like searching environments for items, secrets, and interactions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for combat without timing inputs may find the battle system demanding.
- Players who prefer a narrowly focused quest may find the story’s mystery, rival characters, and exploration distractions too broad.
- Players seeking a multiplayer game may not find the solo-focused adventure they want.
Our take on LunarLux
The combat asks players to manage both skill selection and timing, rather than relying on turn choices alone. That adds an execution element to a story-and-exploration RPG, so those looking for purely menu-driven battles may find this trade-off limiting.
What is LunarLux?
Set on the Moon in the year 30XX, this story-driven RPG follows lunar warrior Bella as she seeks a way to stop an antimatter comet.
Combat combines turn selection with action timing: players choose attacks and must time them during battles with Murks. Bella can learn up to 40 Active Skills and 30 Support Skills, then combine three Active Skills in Lux Combos; up to 30 distinct combos are available. Exploration includes walking or flying across maps in a Jet Suit, traveling between lunar locations in a customizable spaceship, and finding items and story details.
Missions also involve Bella’s robot companion Tetra, who enters computer networks through control panels and faces mini-game challenges. The story includes a lost civilization, rival characters, and a conspiracy.
