Our take on Lucky Hunter
The store page gives equal weight to the setting, deck building, and hunting journey, while the core combat loop is largely automatic. Its strategic focus is therefore on preparation, route selection, and combinations rather than moment-to-moment battlefield commands.
What is Lucky Hunter?
Lucky Hunter is a deck-building auto-battler roguelike in which pieces are automatically played on the battlefield.
The main decisions involve building decks, selecting artifacts, and using synergies between pieces. Three adjacent pieces of the same level merge into a higher-level piece. Battles provide new pieces, with more than 100 pieces and 100 artifacts available. Procedurally generated hunting maps contain battles, shops, enchantments, events, and other nodes, with routes through forests, swamps, deserts, volcanoes, and snow mountains. The standard Hunting Journey has four chapters, each ending in a boss battle. Endless Adventure uses changing decks and increasingly strong prey. Experience from each run can improve base attributes, while purchased piece packs introduce new mechanics.
