Our take on Kentum
Its broad survival-and-automation structure trades immediate momentum for preparation: food, recipes, classification, farming, and production systems occupy part of the experience alongside exploration and platforming.
What is Kentum?
Kentum is a survival-infused metroidvania adventure set on Earth in the year 10,000, where the last human wakes after several millennia.
Exploration spans changing biomes, ruins, flora, fauna, minerals, seasons, and climate events. Survival involves gathering supplies, hunting, discovering recipes, cooking, and building farms or vivariums for food. Materials such as bone, wood, and machine scraps become coal, metal sheets, and other resources for a growing base. Machines can automate production while Kent explores. The game also includes animal, plant, and mineral classification, platforming, and traversal with a hoverboard, hang glider, and grappling hook. Death leads to revival through cloning, while the goal is to turn a damaged space module into a self-sufficient base and rebuild civilization.

Kentum compared to similar games
Kentum combines metroidvania exploration, survival needs, cloning, and automated base production. Mr. Prepper focuses on building an underground shelter, crafting, and preparing for a possible nuclear war under an authoritarian government, without the listed platforming and cloning structure.
