Skip it if you…

Our take on Lovely Planet
The store copy foregrounds movement and precision shooting but gives less emphasis to the level-focused structure: five worlds, repeatable stages, hidden secrets, and score chasing. The absent story is acknowledged, yet the presentation may still suggest a broader adventure than the game’s challenge-based format provides.
What is Lovely Planet?
Lovely Planet is a first-person shooter set in a cutesy abstract world.
Players jump, shoot enemies with a semi-automatic weapon, dodge incoming bullets, and move through five worlds while trying to reach a distant destination. Levels can be practiced for stars and world records, and each world contains multiple hidden secrets. Movement includes boots of speed and jumps exceeding twice the character’s height, while the weapon provides unlimited ammunition. The game focuses on fast movement and precise shooting rather than waiting behind cover. Its story is intentionally abstract and not presented through narration. The game also includes an original soundtrack by Calum Bowen.
