Our take on Lost Cities
Rather than using a broad adventure campaign, the game turns exploration into a focused contest between expedition rivals. Three rounds, planning, and wagering replace the longer journey structure common to adventure games.
What is Lost Cities?
Lost Cities is a licensed digital version of Reiner Knizia’s expedition game.
Players take the role of adventurers searching for forgotten cities around the globe. The game focuses on planning expeditions and deciding whether to wager on one that seems manageable. After three rounds, the player with the most successful expeditions wins. Matches can be played locally or online, against computer opponents with four unique personas, or in hot-seat mode using one shared mouse, keyboard, or gamepad. Asynchronous play allows a match to continue while an opponent is offline. Mouse and keyboard controls can be switched with gamepad controls during play. Steam Stats and Achievements are included.
