Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking extensive combat systems may find the emphasis on platforming, puzzles and traversal limiting.
- Those looking for character customization or a large playable cast may find the fixed father-and-son focus narrow.
- Players seeking open-ended survival gameplay may prefer a less story-focused structure.
Our take on Last Inua
The father-and-son structure gives the adventure a clear emotional and mechanical focus, but limits the playable cast to two characters. That concentration leaves less room for broader character variety or a wider range of independent abilities.
What is Last Inua?
Last Inua is a 2D platform adventure about an Inuit father and son facing survival in a mythical Arctic threatened by the Tonrar, a demonic trickster.
Hiko is physically fragile but has supernatural and magical abilities, while his father Ataataq relies on physical strength. Together, they cross Arctic landscapes, including ice, snow and caves, while overcoming obstacles. Their journey leads to the Trinity of Mythical Creatures: the Ice Bear, the Raven and the Narwhal, whose powers are threatened by the Tonrar’s darkness. The game combines platforming with puzzles and presents a story about the bond between father and son, Inuit mythology and a world blending mythical elements with modern game culture.
